Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Symphony No. 40

Mentor
Eva Ollikainen

The Iceland Symphony Orchestra is now holding its conducting course for the seventh time under the direction and guidance of Eva Ollikainen, the orchestra's principal conductor. At the academy, young and promising musicians are given the opportunity to step onto the conductor's podium and conduct the orchestra, under the expert guidance of Eva Ollikainen. The academy is primarily a platform for students who have completed at least a high school diploma in playing a musical instrument or singing. Selected students will then have the opportunity to conduct the Iceland Symphony Orchestra at an open lunchtime concert at the end of the course.
This work is proving to be very fruitful, and the academy's students have already made their mark on the podium, both here at home and abroad.
The event is open to everyone and guests can watch these talented conductors take their first steps on the podium. Admission is free.
