Olafur Eliasson was born in 1967 in Copenhagen. He is an internationally renowned artist and has held numerous exhibitions around the world, both solo and in collaboration with others. He lives in Copenhagen and Berlin. Olafur Eliasson studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. He represented Denmark at the 50th Venice Biennale in 2003 and later that same year presented The Weather Project in the Turbine Hall of Tate Modern in London. The survey exhibition Take Your Time: Olafur Eliasson, organised by the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, toured internationally until 2010. “When I designed Harpa’s glass façade with the architects, I sought to create a surface that would both reflect and become part of the Icelandic environment.
